Medi Taxx LLC ("Medi Taxx," "we," "us") provides tax preparation and bookkeeping services online. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

Information we collect

Information you give us: your name, email, phone number, mailing address, date of birth, Social Security number, income and tax documents, bank information for refunds or payments, and anything else you share so we can prepare your return or books. Information collected automatically when you visit our website, such as IP address, browser type and pages visited.

How we use it

To prepare and file your tax returns, provide bookkeeping services, communicate with you about your account, appointments and documents, process payments, meet legal and regulatory requirements, and improve our services.

Text messaging

If you opt in, we will text you at the number you provide about your return, appointments, document requests and account updates, and, only if you separately opt in, tax tips and offers. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. This excludes service providers that help us deliver messages (such as our messaging platform), who may only use it to provide that service.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share tax return information only as needed to prepare and file your return (for example, with the IRS, state tax agencies, and our tax software and e-file providers), with service providers who help us run our business under confidentiality obligations, or when required by law. We will not use or disclose your tax return information for any other purpose without your written consent, as required by Internal Revenue Code §7216.

How we protect it

We use secure, encrypted systems to store and transmit your information, limit access to people who need it to serve you, and follow IRS safeguards for tax professionals.

How long we keep it

We keep tax records for as long as required by law and professional standards (generally at least three years), then securely dispose of them.

Your choices

You can ask to see, update or delete your information (subject to legal record-keeping requirements) by emailing [email protected]. You can opt out of texts by replying STOP and out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link.

Children

Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information online.

Changes

We may update this policy and will post the new version on this page with a new date.
